Bowling Coach Paras Mhambrey Reveals India's Starting Lineup for 2023 World Cup Clash Against Bangladesh

India's Bowling Coach Paras Mhambrey Reveals the Lineup for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 Clash Against Bangladesh.

In an exciting development, Paras Mhambrey, India's esteemed bowling coach, has officially unveiled the starting lineup for India in their forthcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune on Thursday, October 19.

Mhambrey has confirmed that India, gunning for their fourth consecutive World Cup victory, will adhere to their successful combination in the upcoming encounter with Bangladesh. This means that players like Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Shami will, unfortunately, remain on the sidelines.

India's World Cup campaign commenced with a bang, with wins over the five-time World Cup champions, Australia, followed by dominant performances against Afghanistan and arch-rivals Pakistan. Mhambrey acknowledged the challenge of keeping such talented players as Shami, Suryakumar, and Ravichandran Ashwin out of the playing eleven but emphasized that these decisions are made in the best interests of the team.

He added, "Our top priority is to maintain the momentum we have gained from our previous victories," during a media briefing before India's training session on Wednesday, October 18.

Mhambrey expressed empathy for high-quality players like Shami and stressed the difficulty of leaving them out of the starting lineup. He revealed that the team management had candid discussions with the players.

While he acknowledged the difficulty of making such decisions, he emphasized that there is clear and open communication with the players. The team's selection is based on what is believed to be best suited for the prevailing conditions.

Furthermore, Mhambrey praised Ashwin for being a team player who adjusts to the team's requirements. He underlined that all discussions within the team focus on collective goals.

He also spoke highly of Suryakumar, describing him as a champion and a game-changer. Despite his consistent display of talent and versatility, it's challenging to find a spot for him in the current lineup. However, if an opportunity arises, he will undoubtedly get his chance.

Mhambrey stressed the significance of Jasprit Bumrah's return after a prolonged injury absence. Bumrah's exceptional performance has significantly bolstered the team's bowling unit. He plays a crucial role in providing early breakthroughs and has demonstrated adaptability in various phases of the game. The bowling coach expressed his delight at Bumrah's return to form.

Additionally, Mhambrey discussed Kuldeep's development, highlighting the importance of both technical and mental aspects in his growth as a bowler. He pointed out the increase in Kuldeep's pace, improved accuracy, and his ability to consistently hit desired lengths.

The 51-year-old coach underlined India's commitment to not underestimate any opponent. He cited recent upsets in the tournament, such as Afghanistan's victory over England and the Netherlands outclassing South Africa, as reminders of the challenges posed by each team.

"We hold every opponent in high regard and recognize the unique nature of each venue. Our aim is to prepare effectively and deliver consistent performances," Mhambrey emphasized.
